One of the most beautiful villages in #France (Plus beaux villages de France). #Gordes history as Capital of the Arrondissement #Apt starts in the 8th century. This was also one of my favorite places when I visited the #Provence in #France.

All these are also the weakness of the place. Because too many tourists. But don't let it prevent you from visiting this beautiful place/

Surly and annoyed, the staff at the Gordes tourism office will answer your questions, but I would suggest lowering expectations about wonderful suggestions to take in the beautiful Luberon. Be prepared to ask for the information you need and carry on.

a beauty spot. You have here all provence attractions concentrated in one point: Breathtaking panorama, ancient buildings, souvenir market, original artist workshops, good cafes and restaurants.

Gordes is a beautiful village. The drive to it gives you a view of the village, built on a very steep mountain. From the village you get a great view, super recommended.

Now I know why Peter Mayle's books about Provance are bestsellers, he lives in the greatest part of the country. Magnificant place!!!

Gordes, is a beautiful town on a hill where steep winding roads take you to the town square. Tourism office was helpful
