i found the staff to be really really helpful and good english. the tourist office is housed in a nice building and had lots of leaflets and maps of the slopes and the town. good first stop in town to get your bearings

The info center is conveniently located at the center of Chamonix. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They gave us very good suggestions and reality check on one leg of the Tour du Mont Blanc hike. I recommend it as the first place to visit when you are in Chamonix.

On the whole reasonably helpful and informative tourist office and another place where you can pick up just a few more Chamonix souvenirs.
