The town nearby is truly photogenic. After the tasting we stopped beside the vineyards to take pictures of the surrounding landscapes. I would highly recommend.

This winery is such a gem on the wine route of Alsace! We took a tour of their cave (where they age the wine) led by a very friendly and very knowledgable woman.

We had reserved spots on a tour for a Monday, so it would be less crowded. Ended up it was only the two of us! Still, our guide took her time with us, explaining their wine-making process and chatting with us all the way. She even offered to take photos of us at several picturesque spots along the tour.

The tour ended with a degustation (or tasting) of their wine, which was absolutely gorgeous. Many of their wines are organic, biodynamic, and Demeter class. She really made us feel welcome and encouraged us to take our time tasting the wine. Her knowledge of wines was apparent and very insightful.
