Great bookshop, it has quite a unique feeling and tons of choice (you can browse through the endless shelves for hours). Very nice staff also.

Very interesting shop with a enormous selection of books. The owner is friendly and seems to know where all the books are which is remarkable considering how many books there are. Small shop, that is full to the brim with books. A book lovers dream! Don't forget to explore downstairs also. Lovely cellar with additional book selection. Just a great store to visit and browse through although it might be a tight squeeze in some spots. Free coffee too!

Books everywhere up to the ceiling! Wide selection of English books (used and new), super friendly staff and owner, nice location, great price. Much much better than Shakespeare&co. Definitely worth it!

An English bookstore in an alley behind the Abbey. The owner is very knowledgeable and can recommend books based on the ones you request. A small space but a surprisingly large selection. Just around the corner from the more famous Shakespeare & Co, where we did not find what we were looking for. But we found it here.

If you love exploring bookstores, you need to visit. There are all kinds of books stacked to the ceiling making it a book lovers dream. It is small so maneuvering around can get tricky.

Greatest bookshop in Paris if you read english and are not looking for something in particular...because it will be hard to find it amobg all those books...but you'll find something you like without doubt !!!

It is a cozy bookstore hidden in the latin quarter. It is very small with a lot of books every where. Walking there is a surrealistic experience. It has a great selection about philosophy, literature, history, management, politics, economic, poetry, etc. In 2013 its prices were very reasonable. Today i was shock to see the high prices of used and new books

You can't deny the charm of Shakespeare & Co - and it certainly is bigger - but Abbey Bookshop is a much friendlier, quieter place with just the same feel to it. It seems small but holds a very large collection, and the owner/salespeople there are incredibly nice. Do pay a visit.

This shop is amazing. So small you can't even properly look at the books. Also, the prices are rather high I think, for second hand books. But there are some good finds.

A lot of choice and a nice owner who gave me advice to pick a book.

A very nice bookstore, very picturesque and charming, just like the owner who justifies Canadians' reputation for kindness ! Definitely my favourite bookstore in Paris, I like it more than the other one nearby :)

Quite pricey but it’s such a nice bookshop that it doesn’t matter. Very, very tight spaces so not convenient to bring big bags, children or generally clumsy people.

Bookstore lovers heaven. The stacks and stacks of books of which are mostly English is amazing. Wide selection of titles of different editions of books.
