We took advice from Trip Advisor who stated that we would receive a full refund and could book elsewhere, given our experience on the day.

An absolutely horrible company and I would most sincerely recommend that you avoid this company and use another one in Chamonix instead.

We finally got into the property at around 3:45pm. After travelling since 5am, I was understandably needing to us the toilet. On flushing, I became aware that the water in our apartment had been turned off! WiFi was also not working as per the details left. The fact that water had been turned off also meant that the apartment had not been cleaned recently - fitting with the first impression.

Firstly, I'd like to say that never in our lives have we booked into other accommodation abroad having not even stayed one night at our planned accommodation. I hope this provides a suitable background to our complaint.

I'm expecting a reply stating that we are lying or misrepresenting our experience. Anyone who wants proof or to see the message trail with this company is more than welcome to message me and I will happily share all evidence to back up the above.

We stayed at Apartment Le Gouter in Les Houches. The apartment was clean, beds comfortable and the kitchen, although small, had everything we needed to cook in. The views from the balcony were unbelieveable, just breath taking!
The local rep was friendly and informative when she met us and when we needed to take one of the kids to a DR, they were on hand, made phone calls and helped arrange this. Our youngest daughter broke an oven dish, two glasses and the toilet roll holder ( maybe we weren't the best guests! ). Alps Rentals were very fair when deducting the cost from our damage deposit and the matter was dealt with quickly. Definitely recommend and have already booked with them for our next trip

We had a great experience with this company.

We booked our holiday in May to Les Houches (near Chamonix, France). In the week before arrival, we had still not received confirmation of the check-in time, or indeed the arrival information of any sort, including the full address of this apartment. We emailed the management company through Trip Advisor on the Saturday and the Sunday prior to our arrival in order to confirm arrival arrangements. No replies. We few on the Monday morning with nothing other than one French mobile number to use to make contact with the owner/management agency.

Once in the country, we phoned 3 times on the mobile number given. We also texted. No response at all. We arrived at Les Houches just before noon, expecting to check in at noon as requested. We had no idea that check in was at 4pm!! At this stage we were starting to think we had been scammed to be honest. We made multiple phone calls to Trip Advisor and they also tried to contact the owner, to no avail. At 3:30pm we finally received a message with arrival details. Luckily, we had taken our laptop with us and were able to receive this message using the WiFi at Les Houches tourist information.

Secondly, I'd like to say that I'm only writing this review due to the total lack of any apology from the rental company for our experience on arrival. Had they offered any sort of written apology, I would not have made our experience public.
