Une carte prometteuse, un très bon accueil, mais l'assiette n'était pas à la hauteur de nos attentes. La qualité a bien baissé, dommage. Nous irons ailleurs la prochaine fois...

Having read reviews of a place a few doors up we intended to go there but this turned out tom be closed and so we found Au Coq d'Or by chance.

It was a bright, cold and blowy January day outside but the restaurant was warm and welcoming. The reasonably priced set menu was excellent value; the shared appetiser was a gorgeous combo of shrimps, crab with bread and was a starter in itself. The staff were friendly and gave very good service and by the end of our meal we were really happy the other place had been closed!

Restaurant très agréable, amuses bouche très sympa, bavette à l'échalote succulente pour moi et mon fils, couscous pour mon épouse qui a fait un festin......suivi de deux Calais divins(le Calais est une spécialité au moka)rien à reprocher pour le service la gentillesse et l'amabilité du patron aux petits soins pour ses clients.

Nice atmosphere but there was only one waiter serving whole restaurant. Nice food but avoid fries that are served with most of the mains, very oily and soggy. Very nice wine and elegant interior.
