A French treasure

The castle looks nice but its relatively small compared to others. Not saying it is not worth seeing, but if you need to travel a large distance then other bigger castles maybe more worth the trouble since you will be done within an hour or less.

Beautiful castle which is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. You can visit the castle with a guide who will explain the history of the place. Also a hot air balloon museum created by none other than Malcolm Forbes who was passionate about hot air balloons.

I have fond memories from a French exchange with Marie-France & her brother living with their parents who were the housekeepers of the Chateau.

Owned by the Forbes family this is a really beautiful chateau which can only be visited with a guide. We had a French speaking tour guide although a book is provided in your native language and you are given plenty of time to read and take everything in. A hot air balloon museum is also attached (3 euros extra per head) which is fascinating and quirky. Well worth a visit!
