Great place to visit. Magnificent views across into Alsace. Gets a bit windy and chilly so wrap up. Definitely worth a visit!

The Parc Naturel Regional des Ballons des Vosges, or simply the Vosges Mountains is a nice mountain range in northeastern France Together with the Black Forest, it is the most northern range in northwestern Europe. It makes for a great weekend trip from the Netherlands if you want some peace and quiet.

Nice room, we had one with airco. Good and extended breakfast. Friendly people. In the city center close to bars, restaurant.

Certainly worth a visit. Infinite waljs on signed paths. Lots of "ferme auberges" in which you can eat traditional food. Lots of paths for Vtt as wel.

Very beautiful region. I would definitely recommend the gr5 as a hiking trail. It's pretty simple to sleep in the gîtes and eat in the auberges so it is great for hiking. There are some pretty steep sections so be careful if you have a heavy pack. Beautiful rain or shine but make sure to keep dry as it can get cold when wet. Lakes there are not allowed to be swam in but it's very nice to anyways. I would definitely recommend at least trying to go to a few of the ballons because they offer great views of the entire region.

Beautiful lakes surrounded by dense green forest makes for a topnotch nature experience. At least.. Given good weather .. As imho there is not much else besides the these lush outdoor atmosphere that set this area apart

Amazing area. Beautiful views. A bit of unpredictable weather but mostly sunny. The region has some of the best wine I have ever tasted.
