What a great find! The best meal I've had in Normandie (disclaimer: not fond of formal french cuisine). 5 stars for taste & quality, 10 stars for being open in early evening. Would definitely recommend.

Super friendly staff, great pastries.
So be aware, on Mondays a lot of Bayeux's restaurants are closed or don't open between 2 & 7. We stumbled in here because it was a rare eaterie that was open at 5:30, and after an entire day at the DDay beaches, we were too drained to wait another 90 minutes for food. And I'm so glad we did--we had a delicious meal of ham & emmenthal sandwiches, each made on the spot by the friendly woman behind the counter. The pastries are also amazing...all for less than 8€!

Très bon pain...Cela devient rare...
Close to the bus stop that takes you to the coastal towns and DDay beaches too. Get a picnic meal here before heading to Omaha Beach, bc your options are minimal up there.
