We were very disappointed with the unfriendliness of the staff at this youth hostel. One of our group became ill while staying here so on our final day we arranged with a friend for him to stay in her room until we could get the ferry home as the hostel wouldn't let us have a late check out. When the staff realised we were not all leaving the hostel during the day they came to the room and forced us to leave, so our very unwell friend had to sit in the reception area all day.

It's great value for what you get. Little sound proofing, can be quite dirty but WiFi good, beds comfy and staff are great.

Went there in 2010 for school trip, the rooms were the downfall. I had to sleep in a bed that was way too small for me, very uncomfortable. However the food was ok

I was fortunate enough to have a shared room to myself and the shared washroom with the next room is lockable so there was privacy when in use. The view from my room looked between building so I had an unobstructed view of the channel.
