This airport has a great view. It's not often you see aeroplanes on the runway with mountains in the background! However, their service was terrible! They don't have the capacity to cope with the large amount of passengers during busy times (ie: ski holidays). It took over an hour to go through security and the flight was already delayed! Would not recommend this airport during busy times :-(

A small airport which might appear from a glance at the map to be a better bet than GVA or TRN to get you to your mountain sharpish.

I've flown in and out of here and driven transfers for this place. It's a small alpine airport. Very convenient time wise but be smart! High winds and bad weather effect more than most and it's going to struggle to cope at peak times. I can't understand why people write reviews like they were expecting to land in a Geneva sized airport.

I also heard that fog from the lake often greatly delays morning flights.

It's may be small, but on my visits it was also seriously overwhelmed. Transfers to ski destinations are also expensive, perhaps because it is so out-of-the-way, but in fairness, they are seldom cheap anywhere in such captive markets.
