Walked in after a wine tasting to see the chateau...it was very quiet. We wandered around a bit before finding someone who worked there. The gardens were lovely, I especially loved the hedges and horse head carvings. The reception area was also very nice and the chateau itself had very little to see inside. It was definitely beautiful but not worth travelling out of your way to see. My friend wants to have her wedding here, if that's any indication to the secluded beauty of the place.

We booked the Chateau and tried for the family suit. This was not available but they gave us two rooms and charged us 150e for the parents and 190e for the adult kids, as they used two beds. We found this exceptionally expensive for what we got. We didn't meet any other guests who numbered more than 3 in the party and may have had the family suit.
The bathroom was reasonable but not of high standard and definately not refurbished wjth quality items. The hand basin sprayed more water out of the basin than in. The shower had a spray of 160 degrees. I took the nozzel off and cleaned out the holes to at least stop the whole bathroom getting wet. The bath took 40 minutes to fill as the spout was restricted with the minerals that also blocked the shower. The sheets had two holes in them and the Tea making facilities were very poor. The one only sachet of milk was out of date by 6 weeks and curdled. When I ask for milk the next day I was told there should be some sachets in the room but the person who cleaned the room (questionable) had forgotten to replenish. The Bathroom supplies were also on the diminishing list as two, a body wash and Shampoo, were empty or nearly empty on our arrival. With the outragous cost of the two rooms the mini bar should have been complementary but that was also on the high side. The breakfast was dear and not reasonable value for money. The 48 varieties of jam as advertised were not evidant, those present were delightful. The only wifi available was when one sat in the foyer. The greeting was professional but not very personal. I like dogs but running around the breakfast table and jumping up onto persons legs not accepted..
