This church and the stained glass window has been a significant piece of my upbringing. Seeing the replica at Ft. Bragg was spectacular...but here now, in real life is indescribable. It was my first time seeing the paratrooper prayer. Although It is quite possible my grandmother previously shared it with me years ago. Things are just different now.

Rich history of D-day

Famous place where the paratrooper got stuck on the church tower.

This small town was key during the days that followed D-Day. On one occasion, a soldier from the Airborne was stuck in the bell tower, they keep a model parachute in his honor. When planning to visit Normandy, visit, you should watch The Longest Day by Ken Annakin, Darryl F. Zanuck, Bernhard Wicki, Andrew Marton and Gerd Oswald first.

Famous place for the D-DAY operations of the US airborne. Worth the visit. Visit the museum as well

Very well preserved church. The interior is like a country church and there is much history to see here.

Beautiful little church. I love the stained-glass window with the US paratroopers.
