Great place to find affordable stuff. Food, gadgets, household items etc. Beware some of the stuff are on sale because they are nearing the expiry date. You need to buy items with cash. Foodstuff are very affordable.

We recently had a crush on this market! The ambience is so cool and relaxed. There is a great offer for buying fabrics!

This is one of my weekly traditions when I'm staying in Lille. It has lots of spices and the produce is reasonably priced. The sellers yell at you to get your business and can get quite aggressive.

Good place to spend Sunday afternoon.

Covered market with different food sellers. It is a bit expansive. Better go on sunday to the weekly market, uncovered but less expansive. On sunday try and get a roasted chicken at Omega grill, delicious.

The inside is a standard cheese, meat and produce market- but the outside is where the magic is. LOTS of junk but on the parameter are food stalls with the most amazing authentic Moroccan, French, and Vietnamese food for cheap. Highly recommend sampling as much as you can, plan to que but it moves fast. Bring cash.

Cheap, quick and dirty.

Think it's closed due to renovation (see notice in pic) but the market still carried on outdoors? Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

THE covered market of Lille. Great local products such as cheese, bread, wine, meats, and some prepared food. There are stalls that have been there for years and new market entrants doing creative things with the local products. This is well worth a visit. The hours have change and they are open later than they have been historically to cater to a wider audience. In my mind, this is a most see. If you want to eat food on the spot, go around noon. There are a few choices and I predict those will grow.

Rude arabic people, gypsies and beggars everywhere. Remember the marks are fake. For 1 euro you can buy clothes with a Zara or H&M logo on it but don't believe it's a real Zara, it's fake, they put it on it themself. How can a shirt in the Zara shop cost 40 euro and here it's 1 euro? It's fake. The quality isn't great either. The sellers are all from north africa and you can't trust them. The worst part is when you come out of the metro and outside you see beggars, burglers and always arabic men watching young girls and gypsies trying to steal from you, the people are so low and poor, it isn't a safe neighbourhood. Only foreign, mostly arabic people, nothing French you can find here, only arabic stuff and clothes. If you don't like muslims don't come here . It's like walking on a market in morocco. I would suggest tourists to just visit the centre but on the other side I think,Let tourists see how worse France is, and that they do nothing about those worse people here, people lying down on street begging for money and gypsie children trying to catch your pocket is a common sight here.
