1. I was informed that as a student, I will have free monthly charges if I specifically open an account with this branch. Nope!

2. I deposited 1,350€ in cash. It is a big sum for me, I counted it twice. Because I did not get the receipt in person that the amount is exactly 1,350€, I was informed a few days later that they deduct 50€ from my account as it is missing. I did not press this matter further as I do not have the proof. Next time, I will force any banks to count the money in front of me and give me a receipt. Lesson learnt!

I might be better off hiding cash under my bed.

3. They signed me up for a French magazine, Dossier Familial, without informing me. I went in person to cancel the subscription but the magazine kept coming back. I have been corresponding with them in English, they don’t even have the decency to secretly do English subscription.

I was recommended to this branch from the nearby Rennes School of Business as apparently, they have some sort of working agreement. I signed up an everyday account here 5 months ago, this branch (and bank) has brought me nothing but misery and frustration:

4. They don’t even bother with the explanation in my record statement. One just says ‘frais irrégulier et incidents’, which means irregular charges and incidents.
