We stayed in this gîte some years years ago and had a wonderful holiday. We hope to return next year. The views from the gîte are superb, the gîte itself was comfortable and well-equipped and peaceful, the owners were very helpful and accommodating but not intrusive. We stayed in June and the wildflower meadows were lovely, there were deer visible in the evenings and early mornings on the edges of the wood, there were birds and birdsong everywhere and birds of prey riding thermals along the valley. There is plenty to see and do in the area and Colmar is a must. The only word of warning I would give is that the entrance to the gîte is (or was!) down a steep slope. If someone has mobility problems, this could be something to be considered.
