Clean, comfy, welcoming and the breakfast is wonderful - lots of choice, a very good bean-to-cup coffee machine and tea making facilities (Brits - yes there's breakfast tea!).

What makes this place so special is Bernard & his family's hospitality during your stay. Nothing is a problem, they speak fluent French, German and English (maybe more, I only heard those). The area is wonderful and we used it as a base for visiting Strasbourg on a driving holiday. Bernard's recommendations for local restaurants we used on our 2 night stay and both were good.

Of all the places so far on our trip, this is the one we said we'd definitely return to.

Tres bel endroit ou le charme des batiments n'a d'egal que la qualite des mets proposés au petit dejeuner : excellent

We had he Berthe suite - lots of room, lovely shower and jacuzzi bath and a very comfortable and rather large bed. Don't take the next bit as a negative, but the floors creak as you walk. This is written in case you're expecting modern perfection - well no, it's part of the charm for us and how on earth you make an old floor quiet without removing it I have no idea.
