This hotel is nice with warm friendly staff. It's also good location which is near to the chateau versailles!

Location location location. The gentleman at the front desk during the day was amazing, he offered to feed the parking meter while we visited the palace since we found parking right out front. The bed was large, bathroom covered in tile, and in the morning you walk right out to the Palace. The hotel is a little dated and could use a face lift inside. But for the price and location to visit the Palace, Hotel de France can't be beat. To top it off, my wife forgot her not inexpensive necklace in the room. 5 hours after we checked out I called and the gentleman at the desk went and found it and called us back. We figured it would be lost to the cleaning crew but that wasn't the case.

We decided not to eat at the hotel, because we wanted the flexibility of having breakfast at a time suitable to us and to explore the local cafes. However, the location could not have been topped. You could see the Palace from the hotel, which was literally a 2 minute walk across the road. There were plenty of cafés and restaurants either side of the hotel, including a wonderful creperie (La Place). It's also only a 5 minute stroll to the market, with patisseries, a quaint supermarket, fresh fruit and veg shop, and pharmacy.

Very clean but dated. The staff was very friendly. Very good location.

All of the staff were exceptionally polite, even when I emailed them before our visit to request a quiet room overlooking the courtyard. The owner was very warm and welcoming, and even gave us a mini tour of the older parts of the hotel which some of the Palace rooms were based on.

Great hotel. The bathroom is very spacious too. Very close to the palace, which is important if you want to get to the entrance early - the lines are toooo long.

My first time, my first hotel in Europe. Who knew it would be a highlight visit? Amazing ambience. Clean, wonderful room and bathroom. My sons and I just fell in love with this area. They give coupons to the most amazing restaurant next door. You have Versailles that is across the street, literally. You can walk around the wonderful town. At night might even be more wonderful than during the day. Totally would be the place I would return to. I was with family but a romantic get away would be amazing here. We came in by train and it was just fabulous. Only a few minutes away from Paris if you want to commute in. Best family vacation ever, so far.

We had a traditional French double shutter opening onto the hotels little courtyard, which made us feel like we had our own balcony to enjoy the warm weather come the evening.

Our double bedroom and bathroom (with bath and shower) was spotless, and whilst it could do with new carpets and a touch up here and there, we couldn't help but fall in love with the charm of the building and its decor. It is a piece of history in itself, and a modern interior really wouldn't do it justice.

The staff is exceptional, going above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. Very helpful and accommodating. Some of the best customer service we received while vacationing in France.
The hotel is directly across the street from the Palace and a short walk from bakeries, restaurants, and shops.

We couldn't have asked for more and would definitely stay again!!
