This is not a bad hotel. Everything clean and tidy. Basic of course for the price - this is not the Savoy, but a great place to stay cheaply in Bordeaux. There is a tram station outside that takes you, for €1.5 bang into the centre of Bordeaux, almost virtually at the door of the Tourist Office. This is around about a 15 - 20 minute ride. Despite being opposite the station I did not find it too noisy at all. And the staff were very friendly and kind. I would have given it five stars had my room had air conditioning. But it wasn't really a problem because I could open the windows.

Fabulousness of location - right in front of the central station - is offset by the noise of rolling suitcases on cobblestones and loud partiers. But the rooms are good (hard pillow alert) and the staff is all great (Jessica and Virginie at the front desk were helpful with planning a walking tour...)

Hôtel refait récemment , grande chambre moderne et confortable , mais mal isolé . Personnel très accueillant et arrangeant !

I stayed here as I arrived late, had a heavy bike bag and it was so close to the station, but that was a big mistake. This place is abysmal. I have added photos of the mold and can not describe well enough how unpleasant a night I had here. There is no air con so I opened the window and listened to the homeless and drug addicts who prowl around all day and night outside as they screeched and hooted through the night.

First thing the next morning, I raised all these issues with the reception and they just said "ah well, you can't get air con at this price" So I moved 250m down the road to the Ibis and got just exactly that! When I showed her the photos of the mold she said she was surprised and shocked. You can see that has built up over a number of months, which shows you how inattentive they are.

Mi sono trovato molto bene. Se è stato chiuso di recente mi dispiace.

The fact that there was a 4mm layer of dirt and sand on the rim of the shower was frankly disgusting. All they offered me at reception was to reduce my rate to €50. I moved immediately and recommend you do not put yourself through the displeasure of staying here.
