No Clue where they got their 2Star rating from. Its clean, central, friendly stuff but the rest, the real rating nececceties are ... anywhere.
Dont expect a nice ambiente or a television in english - the hotel fits perfect into Verdun. They gave their best but its still torn down....

If you want to take the edge of your holiday, this Hotel will certainly do it. Tatty linoleum floored rooms, paper thin walls that echoed the shower next door with the amorous French couple at 1.30am as if they were in the same room. Not suitable for any family ! The first room we were given (after the money was taken) I wouldnt have put my dog in it. Smelt of damp and my elderly dads room was even worse. Quite disgusting, and a shame on the Tourist Board around the corner for having this place on their list. As we made our escape in the morning for our 'prepaid' 8.5 Euro breakfast I was sure this must be a straight forward event but the burnt crosisants, 'metered out' hot water and very poor food selection completed the theme of this shambles. This place should transposed to Alton Towers as a horror hotel show. It would seem you have to be very careful in your Hotel selection at Verdun as the French dont seem to be that bothered with what they offer their tourists.

Hôtel vieillot sans ascenseur, Chambre triste et sans confort (pas de sèche cheveux, pas d’oreiller ou couverture supplémentaires, le minimum de serviettes). Au petit déjeuner le choix est limité .
Bref hormis le tarif et la situation c'est Bof

yes, the walls seem thin (so i annoyed neighbors with my loud north american telephone voice). and i did not dine here so i cannot remark on the restaurant. but i've stayed here twice and enjoyed my lodgings and the staff.

Super hôtel chambre avec toilette et douche extrêmement propre, tout les joints sont blanc pas une trace de moisissures, lit confortable, accueil chaleureuse,vraiment parfait
