Set in very beautiful wooded hills by a river, deep in unspoilt countryside, extremely kind and friendly owners, great food, amazing views from the terrace. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Great hotel and restaurant. I stayed there unreserved while on a bike trip in the Lot area. The room was very clean and airy with a lovely view over the Viaur, and the food excellent. The host is very welcoming and is happy to speak a little English. His wife is a very good cook. The hotel had been an important river crossing in the nineteenth century, but is now a bit out of the way. While I was there one of the other guests told me that his great great grandfather had been a boatman on the ferry that formed the crossing before the bridge was built in the 1860's. An authentic French experience!
