Extremely friendly and professional front office staff. Perfect location to explore Lyon. Rooms show little signs of wear nevertheless the beds are one of the best in the industry. I would stay here again..

Great beds and service, as befits the Sofitel name. The room and hallway styling feels dated, though. Free wifi works, but it's slow. Also one of the main elevators on my visit felt a bit spooky (shakes and rattles as it starts moving.) Did not try the bar or restaurant.

I can not believe this hotel is 5star.. poor old hotel and poor customer service. I am accor platinum member. This hotel is one of the worst Accor hotel in my life.

carpet in room was dirty and stained. Reception didn't care. Room service by a man on his mobile without acknowledging my wife. We had to open the table ourselves. It is not 5 star. Sofitels in asia are completely different.

Sad hotel not up to Sofitel standards. Tired and worn out rooms with unfriendly and ignorant staff. Construction is right infrom of the hotel, try to get a room facing away from the road. Left with a sorry feel.

PROS: Extremely well located, wonderful views to the outside, stunning architectural building. (if it wasn't for this, it would have been 0 stars)
CONS: Outdated, Limited staff with lack of information, dirty linen, toilet never saw a brush and had plenty of hairs around, walls and carpet so outdated that it had stains all over. was offered to change rooms, to which I asked to see first; unfortunately the lack of hygiene was even worse than in the first room hairs on the floor, sink, toilet and bath. Returned to bedroom 1, was told 'governance' would come straightaway to change the linen... 30 minutes in and still waiting.

Our room overlooked the Rhone. Lunch in Silks restaurant was excellent. Staff we're we're all efficient & attentive. Only 5 mins walk to place Bellecour 15 mins to Old Town
