Restaurant créole situé près de la place Sainte Anne. Il est facilement accessible en métro ou en bus. Le restaurant est assez grand, beaucoup de tables et chaises mais la première impression que l'on a en entrant dans les lieux, c'est "kitsch". Très kitsch par sa décoration un peu surchargée, les drapeaux, etc... La cuisine est très simple, voire basique et présentée sans sophistication. Le personnel est plutôt aimable. Je pense qu'il vaut effectivement mieux venir un soir avec ses amis pour l'ambiance que pour un repas gastronomique à deux en toute intimité. L'image du patron ou du gérant seul à sa table en train de superviser m'a semblé tellement cliché. Bref une adresse qui détonne.

The home cooked food was absolutely delicious with a variety of Creoles, boudins, samosas and frittas. All served with a warm smile. Quirky decor too!

So good, I love this place! Even if the restaurant was full when we went in (five of us), we were accommodated with smiles. The staff are friendly, funny and happy to help - and the food is amazing! The music is great and there's even a small dancefloor to add a bit of spice to your step - we'll definitely be back.

日曜日の昼14ごろまで開いているのが地味にありがたい。他のレストランはほとんど閉まっているので。たまにご主人が厨房から出て来てはそれぞれのテーブルに来て、料理はどう？などと気さくに話しかけてこられるのが印象的だった。恐らく奥様だろうが、ウェイトレスの女性も明るく笑顔でとても良い印象のお店。ちょっとだけ料理が出るのが遅い気もするが、ランチタイムはご主人ひとりで厨房に入られているようなので、仕方ないといったところ。

The King Creole is a unique place and the ambience is very Caribbean feel, the owner is marvellous and very charismatic . the meal was excellent and if you love chilli it has spice for your taste buds. it is one of the best restaurant in Rennes .

Jamais déçu !!! Un accueil chaleureux, une ambiance au top. Très bon rapport qualité prix ! A éviter pour un repas en couple mais je recommande pour un repas en groupe !
