An interesting museum full of interesting tidbits about French history. There is so much to see that I would recommend reserving half a day to see everything.

Superb museum. Beautifully designed exhibitions with a variety of content and fresh graphic styles in each room. One of the highlights is a circular room exhibiting model fish, lit up with blue / purple light. Really well designed museum within the existing structure, and unmatched panoramic views from the roof terrace.

Spectacular views and very new and interesting museum on Naval history both in and out of the St Tropez area.

Nice views and a very well made museum. Almost everything is wheelchair (and stroller) accessible.

Don't waste your money

Positive point: great panoramic view
Negative:
- 3€
- you can get the exact same view just waking around the citadelle FOR FREE.
- they have put hideous statues everywhere, even at some places where you would want to take pictures.

Amazing old fort sat on a hill overlooking St Tropez. For a small fee you can go inside and see the rather beautifully converted museum. Stacks of maritime artefacts and information. However, if you do not speak French you may struggle as all of the interpretive material is in French. View from the top is beautiful across St Tropez Bay.

Very interesting and entertaining exhibition on St. Tropez' past. It never was the small fishing village which was discovered by wealthy yacht owners in the 1930ies and 50ies. It had an important shipyard since the 17th century. Over 3,000 vessels were built here. Also submarine cables and torpedos were manufactured at St. Tropez.

I would say this is one of the only reasons to visit Saint Tropez. The views from the Citadelle were beautiful. It was 3 euros per person.
