Overall, one of the best restaurant that we encountered so far in Nice. And I highly recommend that anyone who wants to step out of the old town Nice tourists area to enjoy some authentic local food to give it a try!

Très bon, serveur sympathique, compréhension face au allergique et adapté à diverses allergie différentes.

The food is very reasonably priced. The owner very patiently explained the menu to us in English. ( yes, there's no English menu and almost every guests there were locals expected us, which is a really good sign in my opinion) I ordered the chef's recommendation a white fish with sausage meat on top. The fish was cooked perfectly and taste fresh. My husband adventurously tried a beef tripe stew and we both loved it. ( believe me, it takes some skills for him to appreciate sweetbreads.)

We initially went to la route du miam for diner but sadly discovered that the place was fully booked. Luckily the owner kindly recommend us to la Gauloise and in her words this restaurant has the most " clean taste and correct technique " of French cuisine.

The pasta portion is massive. The tuna salad is very good.
