Serving traditional cuisine of the south of France, from harty wild boar stews to elegant raspberry desserts, the proprietors of La Patache offer a dining experience you are not likely to forget. Every visitor will be amazed by the stunning views from the terrace on the mountain region of the Cévennes.
Allways warm and kind, Odile and Jean-Marc Petit will try to make your stay at their restaurant and hotel as comfortable as possible.
The rooms of the hotel are modern, clean and very comfortable. Every day one wakes up with stunning views over the Cévennes from the window.
Must-try dishes: flan d'écrevisses, terrine de tomates, daube de sanglier, ballotine de volaille, pommes Saint-Martial, mousse aux framboises, baba au rhum, flan caramel.

5 stars only because I cannot give 6.
Very nice, quiet, and cozy hotel/restaurant at a beautiful location with an amazing mountain view from the terrace. When we arrived there by bike late afternoon to find out that the hotel was still closed (not the season yet) the owner saw us and immediately offered to open up a room and cook dinner for us (there was nothing else within a 15-km radius).
The food was plenty and delicious, the room was basic but good, and the owners very friendly and social (they both speak English fluently). And everything at an extremely affordable price. If you're looking for a bit of rest and nature, go there!

This was an unexpected culinary experience in the Cevennes. Both location, ambiance and service are amazing. Don't get me started about the food though, Jean-Marc hunts his own boar, catches his own forels and forages heaps and heaps of mushrooms when in season. And most importantly: he creates great dishes from them. Try the vegetable terrine, it's way above expectation.
