Great place .. only thing I could fault it on is that it's very weather dependant. The pool seems pretty cold without the sun around and the slides are turned off. The main attractions around the area, in my opinion, are the fantastic beaches close by ... but again when the weather is against you there's not a whole lot to do. The area seems to have a bit of a microclimate and all the weather apps got it woefully wrong most of the time. Our kids loved it .. just wish there was something to do when is was lashing out of the heavens. The site is excellent.

We were at La Rive in the last week of July. Beginning of the week temperatures were cool (18-20C). Coming from Miami, that was somewhat of an adjustment. But it was great for excursions to Bordeaux, Arcachon, Dune du Pyla and St. Emilion. We also rented bikes and drove to the other side of the lake with our kids (9 and 10). Everyone loved it! It's a beautiful ride through the pine forest. Dune du Pyla was amazing (it helped that there was a cool breeze that day). Our cabin (Evasion) on the campsite had everything we could wish for. We had breakfast/dinner outside on the deck each day. It was super comfortable and clean. The campsite has great amenities and everything was very well organized. Lots of activities for young kids, like ours. They loved every minute of the playground, making new friends, playing ping pong and soccer, sailing on the lake, the pool, driving their electric scooter (for rent at campsite), the arcade and much more. Great (French) experience! We loved it and would have stayed longer if we could.

Stayed May/June 17. Pros: Weather unseasonably hot and humid. Accommodation clean, tidy, reasonable size and close enough to facilities. Location: Site is surrounded by forestry land, with a private man made beach on the huge Lake nearby...perfect for young kids to paddle in as only knee deep for a long distance from the shore. Cons: facilities limited hours or just closed without notice- on wet and dry days. No bars open at all until 4pm...shops etc state they open for longer july/Aug only. Caravans packed close together but residents respect 11pm curfew. Tips: take a car! Don't bother with paying for WiFi. Stock plenty of food/drink. Swim before 4pm as the locals pack it out until 7.

Undoubtedly great facilities, but expensive and would really benefit from no vehicles on site (or at the very least the staff not driving flat out around the site).

Mobiles are on top of each other very noisy in the morning because of this, not walking distance to anywhere. Very expensive beer. Wont come back to this site will look elsewhere in the region as Bordeaux as beautiful

Excellent site well looked after. The lake is superb and the rest of the facilities on site are of a great standard. Kids loved the swimming pool complex!

This is a fantastic site that I can't fault. Pitches are a great size, the pools are amazing and on par with some Centre Parts. The lake is huge, but warm and there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas.
