Should you bring towels? -- Yes! The towels they sell are SUPER expensive. Bring your own towel or if you see someone selling cheap towels on the beach, buy them.

Food is incredible, but please book a few days to a week in advance. It is expensive, as expected on the Côte d'Azur, but worth for the experience and food.

Fantastic every year. It's a summer destination must. Amazing food and un-parralled atmosphere.

The beach experience was OK. Just a couple of mattresses on the beach under a straw thatched roof cabana. We could have done without this part because it was pretty cold when we went and the baby crying at the top of its lungs behind us could probably agree. Overall, I would recommend lunch here but maybe skip the beach part.

Topnotch beachfront restaurant club in St Tropez with great Italian style cuisine. Very popular place for a trendy crowd.

Well prepared food: almost endless muscles seasoned simple but great. Suggested a local fish which was a great change from bass and bream. Dessert (red fruit tart) incredible.

A nice place in a long beach.

Do you need reservations? -- If you want a chair at the very front near the water, make reservations 3-4 days in advance. But, they have plenty of other chairs that aren't reserved in the back. Also, most people make reservations for lunch along with the beach chair.

Lovely atmosphere and a great spot for lunch and people watching. We had the mussels and artichoke appetizers. Mussels were simple but delicious while the artichoke was more of a unique sight to see. We had the John Dory fish fillet for two as recommended by our friendly and helpful server. It was cooked well.

Great St Tropez experience. Really expensive but you do get a wonderful visit. Service is ok. Food in the restaurant is really good. Beach is not Hawaii...but worth the trip.

A better choice would be a wet mossy rock than an overpriced beach with terrible service. It is a stark contrast, when the restaurant experience is sublime.

Even if the reputation of Club 55 is to be the place for the rich and famous, Patrice remains the most warm hearted and welcoming host of the whole region for every guest. In this amazing beach restaurant which I have visited for more than 30 years everybody receives the same excellent service by a wonderful staff that basically doesn't change over decades and the same is true for the menu. Simply fresh local products with an excellent taste. Of course, the price level is elevated but the quality justifies every single penny. For me Club 55 remains the best beach club in the world.

Atmosphere: Very busy, mix of locals and tourists, seems to be a place to be see.

Although service was a bit spotty because the place was so packed, our server made up for it with her friendly demeanour (which was a breath of fresh air considering most of the service encountered on our trip to France was rude because people automatically assumed we were American as opposed to Canadian). We topped it all off with a red fruit tart which was just so pretty and fresh! Definitely recommend this dessert. Not overly sweet which was nice in contrast to the diabetes inducing pies and tarts we get in Canada. It was also nice to have live music playing in the background.

Excellent food and service.. on the pricier side, but worth it... Recommended

The best food at reasonable prices on the beach. Reservations are difficult but give it a try for the first service

Fair warning - it is always very packed so you probably won't be able to meditate or reflect on the meaning of life with your friends. When everyone's buzzing around and there's music and good food why would you want to? Enjoy this classic French experience and please do not go to the Club 55 beach - utter waste of time and money.

Classic lunch place in Ramatulle. Great scene, good food. Can't go to St Tropez area without having lunch here at least once.

Service is not bad, but be nice to them! I saw someone who wasn't that nice and they got a chair in the very back although there were plenty closer to the front.

Service: Nice, accommodating, friendly

Do they take credit card? -- Yes for lunch, but for expenses on the beach (chairs + drinks), they only take cash.

Great St Tropez beach experience

Dresscode(!) is "white and blue" even with flip-flops in the sand. So you can mix up smoothly in there and become part of the show. Take your beach stuff with you in a big bag. Recommendation food "low price escape": Salade Nicoise and a bottle of water. So you get out by EUR 54,- for two plus tipp and plus EUR 5,- for the friendly guy who parked your car. Admittedly its all bit special but nevertheless you paid for a nice place, a good show and a nice beach/swimming afterwards.

Overrated! Not sure why so many people and websites say this is a must-go in St Tropez, but it's just a beach with a ton of beach chairs that you can pay for to use for the whole day. Not really a big party if that's what you're looking for. ;)
