I highly recommend that you stay at Relais St-Germain and have a dinner at le comptoir.

The food was traditional bistro fare and menu was extensive. I had the cod gratin which I would recommend if you're not after a big meal and my hubby had the beef cheek which was hearty and tasty.

We stay here primarily for the breakfast, which is sourced from the best purveyors. Baguette and croissant taste more fresh than what you get at the bakery. The only disappointing item was that the hot chocolate was not as thick as it was the last time we were here. Note that these are small rooms and may have a strange layout - toilet was in a separate room and had to walk around to wash hands. Carpet seemed newly replaced and fresh to walk on barefoot. Also, if you stay here, take advantage of the dinner reservation next door.

When I got in and asked about the place, a man said that he did not speak my language and turn his back for me, extreme unpolited, I will never come back

It was great sitting outside on a warm day with a glass of wine to soak in the Parisian atmosphere.

For anyone who is lucky enough to stay here or to eat in the restaurant Le Comptoir, this is without contest one of the great addresses of Paris. Personable service, exquisite rooms each individually decorated, a breakfast to die for and leading edge cuisine. Perfect
