I go there regularly. I have been welcomed even when alone, not terribly well-groomed and with no reservation, etc. If they have a table, all is well. Love the food, love the service. At that price, it's a treat for me. I have always left happy, never felt overcharged.

Un simple dîner en amoureux pendant une semaine de vacances à La Rochelle...Et pourtant ! Nous avons vécu une expérience gustative inoubliable ! 1. Une merveilleuse vue sur le vieux port avec la Tour Saint Nicolas et la Tour de la Chaîne. 2. Une cuisine raffinée, riche en goût, décoration soignée. 3. Décoration agréable sans être tape à l'oeil, lumière feutrée. 4. Service impeccable (juste une petite erreur sur la distribution des menus, madame ayant reçu la carte avec les prix affichés). 5. Le temps d'attente entre les plats résulte d'un timing impeccable. Juste le temps de digérer et d'apprécier sans s'ennuyer. Je recommande fortement cette adresse avec le Menu du Marché

One of the most prestigious restaurants in the area, though it is traditional and conservative. If you are looking for a surprising culinarily experience, this is not your best idea. Very comfortable and cannot be disappointed.

Le menu à 30,50 euros offre un excellent rapport qualité/prix pour une cuisine créatrice et raffinée. C'est un très bon restaurant gastronomique. Le personnel est serviable et très accueillant

Am a regular customer and have never been disappointed. Only slight negative is the presence of noisy groups in summer (referred to by the staff as "Les Parisiens"), but this happens everywhere in La Rochelle.

Don't expect it to be cheap....but do expect it to be good.......lots of windows...great light...worth the expense if you can get a table in summer....probably one of the best located restaurants in La Rochelle...but in the summer there are always crowds on the port that obscure the great views to some extent...but hey..you are never going to on your own in summer....thats part of it...

My favorite place in La Rochelle. Great location, great food, great decoration. Service may be a bit clumsy in summer but largely compensated by the enthusiasm of the staff.

The food was superb in every way - the restaurant manager clearly didn't like English people and the service was poor- this is also a very expensive restaurant. There was an unpleasant arrogance of the manager and sommelier

Service was impeccable and staff very professional. The 3 course menu, pricey but it was well worth every cent spent. Dessert with the sabla and the raspberry sorbet fantastic. Superb experience.

Food was good, but some dishes a bit bland. Service was average for the most part. Expensive for what it was.
