We stayed here for 4 nights from 25th June 2014 in the Marie-Antoinette Room. The owners Cherie & Brian Hewitt are fellow Kiwis and we got on famously! They are very friendly, knowledgeable about the area & gave us good advice as to where to eat & what to see. There is an excellent Boulangerie opposite & the local Market (Thursdays) was one of the best we've been to. The rooms are well appointed,nicely decorated with comfy beds and egyptian cotton linen. We enjoyed a typical French continental breakfast every morning on the terrace. The best meal we've eaten in France (over 2 weeks) was in the adjacent village of Couze Saint Front. Au Fil de L'Eau, 32 Avenue de Cahors is owned by Patrick & Bernard and for 24 Euros we enjoyed a fabulous 3 course dinner in a gorgeous waterside setting.
Staying with Cherie & Brian was like staying with family and we hope to return & stay with them again one day soon!

We had a wonderful time here.Brian and Cherie were the best hosts and went out of their way to help us.Brian even drove us to Bergerac when due to the train strikes we couldn't get the train at Lalinde. Our room was fantastic looking out over the river from our
Own balcony and the bed was great! Breakfasts were delicious.
We highly recommend staying here if you are in the Dordogne.
