To my American eye I would say super disorganized. Had a few conversations with what seemed to be unhelpful staff, but in the end we got everything we came for (it just took searching through three stories of confusion to find it).

She even trew away the plastic bag when I requested.
Because of her bad behavior I felt really terrible.

I was looking for a hair dryer and couldn't find it so the nice lady at the cashier showed me where it was. The selection is not the best but all the necessities are available and easy to get around.

For those of us from the States who come to France and need a store similar to Target, Monoprix is your answer. They stock both groceries and household goods. You can find most anything you might need in your daily life. It does get a bit crowded in the afternoons and the checkout lines can get long and move slowly. They have a good wine selection, but the choices of beers is lacking.

This is a small supermarket, something like a neighborhood Safeway store but they have a wide variety of departments n tons of items. It is Paris, so dont expect any bargains but it is a good place to get fruits, squeeze fresh orange juice, get a chocolate or pick up one of the prepared food boxes, salads, sandwiches.

This monoprix is only open until 8:40, NOT 9 as suggested by Google. It's a good store for kids' and baby clothes, toys, basic household items. There's adult clothing too, but I've never purchased it. The grocery store is fairly large; but you have to lug your groceries up an escalator. There's a nice snack shop next door to get lunch on the run without a lot of fanfare. This is a staple shop for my family. I've found the staff ok-- aloof like most cashiers in this part of Paris, but no one who was outright rude.
