Le musée d'art moderne de Céret est le fruit des passages et des séjours des plus grands artistes du 20ème siècle dans la ville et ses alentours : Picasso, Braque, Chagall, Matisse.........
Un des plus beaux musées d'art moderne de France.
Les oeuvres de ces grands artistes y sont présentées avec des collections plus contemporaines de grande qualité.

Lovely small and nice museum. The art is very nice and shows a lot of artwork from Ceret. When you step outside you already recognize the views from the paintings!

Spannende Ausstellung. Wer z. B. einen echten Picasso sehen will ist hier richtig.
Empfehlung: Die Stadt sollte man zum Kirschenfest Ende Mai / Anfang Juni besuchen. Hier werden die ersten Kirschen des Jahres geerntet. Die klimatische Lage macht die frühe Ernte möglich.
Das erste Körbchen erhält aus Tradition der franz. Präsident.

A surprisingly spacious museum for such a small town, punching above its weight but not surprising considering the number of early modernist artists that have been inspired here. The permanent galleries were fairly small, but very well appointed. The temporary exhibition space is much larger; for us it was Dali, which wasn't to our tastes but which sensitively curated a very large selection of works to give us a sense of the man. All in all a very well-spent two hours.

Excellent permanent collection of modern art with variable, but usually very good, visiting exhibitions.
