We had a great wine tasting and vineyard tour - it was really the highlight of our time in carcassonne. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly and very generous with their wine which they are clearly passionate about. Don't miss doing this tour if you are ever in carcassonne it's just a 15 minute taxi out of the centre and is totally worth it!

It's taken me a few months to find the time to write this review, nevertheless I have always intended to do so and hey, better late than never! Especially when you've experienced and received the first class and completely natural hosting that Joe and Liz bestow upon you when you visit their fantastic winery. We arrived in Carcassonne towards the end of April when an unusually cold snap swept through the Languedoc. In terms of our plans of visiting loads of vineyards it was a disaster. However, we were so glad that we chose O’vineyards. When we arrived we were the only two people who were mad enough to venture out but luckily we got all of their attention to ourselves. Before we even went out for a walk amongst the vines Joe must have poured 4 or 5 glasses of wine down our throats! It was a great experience, Joe’s passion and knowledge of what he does is fantastic and he explains it all in lay mans terms, no wine snobbery here! I lost count of the glasses of wine in the end. Liz put on food for us and when we were finished they even drove us back Into the centre of Carcassonne!! This is hospitality the way it should be, old school and completely genuine. Thanks for a great day! Oh and did I mention that the wine is excellent!!!!

You have to visit here. Great vineyard with amazing, wine, food and views. If you are lucky enough to stay (always fully booked) you will experience large double on-suite rooms and top level cuisine.

Fantastic wine and superb food, you must book and don’t leave Carcassonne without visiting. Joe is very passionate about his wine (brought back several bottles) and Liz’s cooking is amazing, looking forward to going back.

A highlight of our trip. The hosts Joe and Liz are hospitable, passionate and tallented. The interesting picturesque tour was finished with a genuine family-style dinner with over-generous portions and reffils (seriously, be careful or you will go to bed fat and drunk). Thank you for great day and night, keep up the great work.
