Helpful for exploring Roissy town

L’aéroport de Roissy est vaste et les hôtels aux abords sont nombreux, ce n’est pas simple de trouver la bonne navette et leurs points de départ dans les terminaux.
Je vous conseille lorsque vous avez une nuit à passer à Roissy pour prendre un vol tôt le matin, d’utiliser l’outil itinéraires « navettes hôtels » de l’Office de tourisme de Roissy sur leur site web… pour éviter de faire 2 fois le tour de l’aéroport avant de trouver son hôtel

We had stayed at Roissy outside Paris for a week and while checking out as early as 10.00 a.m. and had a flight back home next morning, we decided to stay a bit away from the airport to be able to have a quiet afternoon and also could walk around in the village of Roissy.
What a good choice we made!
Our hotel is situated in the little village of Roissy in the hotel street where you find most of the hotels. The village was a nice little one; a few restaurants and shops, a nice town hall, a cultural center where you find the tourist office. A beautiful park just across the street from the hotel where we had a nice and safe stroll. We had never imagined we could have such a nice stay that very close to a huge airport.

Our flight from CDG was overbooked and they were asking for volunteers. 2 out of 5 of us had no commitment the next day so we decided to take them up on the deal which included 1 overnight stay along. The people who work at Tourist Office are really nice, they gave us some ideas to kill our few hours in Roissy, enjoy the outdoor photo exhibition, make a stroll in the park, listen to summer outdoor, take a historical walking tour with the guide recording…

A short walk of 100 yards across the street from Hotel Campanile you will find a small park, an old cemetary and a beautiful old church that is being rebuilt.
Beside the church is an old mansion hidden by trees and surrounded by a 6 foot tall stone wall. You can see just enough of the old mansion to make you want to see more, but it is hidden and will not reveal itself. All of this in the center
of CDG airport and a stones throw from "Hotel ROW". It is hidden, but it is there to be found. I wish we would have had more time to explore this quite little town. What a wonderful surprise to find it in a most unlikely place.
