Kinda hard to imagine what went on during the horrific event with all modern businesses across the road. In my opinion, I think it takes away from the experience.

It is an incredible feeling to have been here at the sight of where history and war occured, and also to take in the fabulous air and scenery of the beach.

If you get the opportunity to come here take it. Friendly people, great countryside and historic places to see and walk through. You get to see and appreciate what our brave Soldiers went through during WWII.

Great memory of d day and the terrible war. Look for the old structures, where the Germans had their cannons, where the allies set up the temporary floating cement docks (still there!) brought all the way from England!
The new structures give you enough reading and visual material to be impressed

Pity dogs aren't allowed everywhere. Not much left of the atlantikwall but the signs tell you a lot about wgat happened.
