Food is pretty good, but the brunch costs 20 euro, a rather outrageous price for what you get - espresso and juice, an egg and bread, butter and jam, piece of quiche, and a salad. Just to get an espresso and some bread with jam costs 6.50

Nice ambiance. Big brunch including pastry, delicious granola and yogurt, a big salad, coffee and toast.

This is one of the most reasonable and comfortable places for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee or beer. Pleasant staff, wonderful pastries and consistently good faire. Highly recommend.

Fantastic coffee - order the noisette and you'll get a good flat white.

Nice brunch, cozy atmosphere. Usually crowded though, expensive and coffee is not great. Good for Grenoble, but competition in this category isn't exactly stiff it has to be said.

Very friendly staff. They had the best bread I've had in my entire life. Cappuccino was very strong but after a few sips it came to be very delicious and yum with the bread. They also had the best jams I've ever tasted so fresh and went well with every different kind of bread. When or If I'm ever in Grenoble again I will definitely be coming here. I found this place with my family while strolling around Grenoble one morning and also seeing it online. Very common among the locals which is usually a good sign.
Thanks for reading A Taste Of Tommy

Extremely unwelcoming, cold and condescending. This has been twice now. The pastries were not great, and are certainly not worth enduring the treatment of the staff.

Go for a tartine. The breakfast options are not that special.

They don't always open 8.00 sharp but more like 8.10-15 so be aware of that if you are in a hurry. But a nice selection of breakfast menus and friendly staff. Everything on the meny isn't quite ready when they open since, couldn't get any eggs this morning until 8.30ish for example but still really good.

I was walking around Grenoble not knowing where to have something to eat. Wanted to avoid getting stuck in a snack- and junkfood routine because my stay in Grenoble was short. Saw that this restaurant was busy with a mix people whom were having a late brunch on Saturday, 14:30. No tourists it seemed, a couple of students, so, I thought I'd pop in. A warm welcome beyond the entrance and a clear, relatively short menu. A good sign. Fresh loafs of bread behind the counter along the wall, being cut into slices right before my eyes. Another good sign. Noticing that most people were enjoying a huge brunch, the wall chalk presented everything it entailed.
For brunch one gets a fresh salad with smoked salmon, sliced french 'saucisson sec', Emmentaler cheese, mozzarella and tomato, with some dressing if so inclined, brie. Next to this one receives a semi breakfast plate filled with a big croissant (you choose what type), the lightest fresh yoghurt in a tiny glass vase seal using foil as if the milkman just past by, muesli with dried banana and nuts, butter and a soft boiled egg with long strips of bread to dip into the egg. A basket of different types of bread was provided to top it all off, including breakfast spreads like apricot jam, chocolate pasta, etc. Lastly to assist you in this long lunch, a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice, a glass of spring water from the mountains, and a cup of coffee. This meal is so rich and sizable that it'll get you up to Fort de la Bastille and back home again. And, you'll still not need a dinner afterwards...
The service is experienced, friendly, and also attentive. Very quick to serve after ordering. And can understand English well enough to help with questions. Will come back again if I find time.

We had an excellent breakfast here (the Normand with bread, juice, butter, jam, white chocolate cream, yoghurt, coffee,... and plenty of it for € 8,50).
The gentleman serving it was very friendly and helpful, the place is really nice and old-style. And you can sit outside on a small and quiet square.
It was a pleasure!
