Just go. Traditional creations made by a brilliant patissier who took over the family business and loves to feed the sugar highs.

Fantastic almond croissants! Best in Paris. Store is very French and has the original floor that is Eschar-esque. We met the pâtissière who made the croissants for this store and the store at Rue des Pyramides. She is very proud of her work, as she should be. It was a great experience all-around.

A 2010 New York Times article called "Solo in Paris" described the lemon tart at No.22 Rue des Martyrs. Her description was captivating and lead me to this shop. It did not disappoint. Tart, yet sweet with a delicious crust and these translucent slices of lemon peel. I wish I could sneak some home in my suitcase.
