excellent food, great and friendly service and very nice and talented chef

Last but not least, the staff is really cool and the service is fast enough to keep you on your toes about whats coming next.

A nice upscale kushiage (fried skewer) place. It offers a good selection of japanese sake.
The dwarf size entrance door contributes to a cosy atmosphere.

Having not been to Japan before, I definitely had my best sake in Restaurant Shu, they have a great selection of sakes.

Hidden behind a small (Approx half my height) door is an authentic Japanese restaurant. With a few set of menus you get a good experience of Japanese food. It's slightly higher prices than a the places around in the area, but the food is of very high quality and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Place is a gem, highly recommended.

Limited menu, with only sets to choose from. Degustation like. However very subtle flavours. Quite expensive though. It was interesting but I would probably not visit again.

What a great japanese restaurant it was. We tried the menu with 5 plates. The amusebouche with the prune vinegar was just great, the sashimis likewise and the 15 kushiages that came after were a variety of fried vegetables and meat. Green Tea rice Soup is for sesame lovers and for miso lovers id definitely recommend tasting the amazing simplicity of the miso soup.
The dessert was the most simple thing about the menu but after all that amazing food we really didnt mind at all.
