Lovely old fashioned train that goes up the mountainside with lovely views on the way. Goes to Mer de Glace, a beautiful glacier sadly melted enormously since the railway was built. From here you can get down to the glacier (by cable car and a walk down 420 steps) and go inside it through a man made tunnel. A great trip.

Lovely train station and ride up to the glacier. Be careful with weather because glacier might not be visible if the fog comes in (but it can pass quickly as well).

Great views. Good info. Well organised. Perhaps a little pricey.

Very nice trip to see panoramic views. It's really depressing to see the way the glacier has reduced it's size since 1830. Global warming is not a joke.

If you like hiking, rather hike up to the glacier, its easy accessible and a beautiful path, well marketed and it will take you around 2-3 hours, depending on your level of fitness. Alternatively, you can hike on the way down and take the train first. Enjoy it!
