Checked out two nights later, and the owner provided me directions using public transit to the SNCF train station. (I walked from the train station to the hotel when I first arrived, which was rather painful.) On to Nice I went.

The hotel is essentially the owner's house, where they were renting out their excess rooms as a business. So I stayed in a rather large room, it provided a typical French home feel. The shower however was probably refurnished and offered great room and luxury.

Stayed here last year while travelling solo in France. Bordeaux was my first stop after Paris, where I flew in From Canada. Still had a bit of jet lag when I arrived. There really wasn't a "check-in", but simply getting the key handed to me.

Bed was comfortable, TV worked, lighting was warm. Outside the windows was an elementary school, I could hear the kids in the morning. Breakfast was offered and it was simply the 12 euro dejourner you could find in the streets, except this is free, and perhaps home-made. I couldn't really tell the quality as I did not have experience in French breakfasts. Though I remember I did enjoy the coffee.

Proche de toutes commodités, le centre ville à un saut de puce, des hôtes charmants et des chambres entretenues et décorées avec soin!
Je vous la conseille les yeux fermés et y retournerait!

Einfach toll. Sehr schöne Location, Frühstück vom Feinsten mit selbst gemachte Marmelade und Muffins. Sehr gut auf Gäste vorbereitet: Karten von Bordeaux mit Anmerkungen bereit zum mitnehmen.

I would have to say that it was the most pleasant holiday stay I have ever experienced.
I would have no hesitation in booking again. In fact I am looking forward to it. Could not fault anything.
