Wonderful abbey, currently run by the Chemin Neuf community. A lot of activities for discerning one's vocation and spiritual life throughout the year, and a big, youth festival every summer with more than 1000 people and tons of activities, both spiritual and athletic.

Glorious place. Sunset is perfect here, and the milky way is quite clear at night..great place to stay.

Very beautiful settings on the lake shore of a big alpine lake. Do not miss to visit the barns near the lake with direct boat access ! Quite unique .

Best way to get there is to take a boat from Aix-les-Bains. As you approach the site, you can really take in and appreciate the architecture as seen from the lake.

The basilica is very pretty inside. Shame that you can only visit on an audio guide, and no pictures inside. Opening hours are tight. And you cannot visit any other part of the monastery. At the least the entrance fee is a bargain (€3.50).
