“Faulty Towers Paris"
Nice little hotel tucked away on one of the side streets in Paris, but that's where it ends.

Nice and clean rooms with a perfectly working air condition. Friendly staff and a good breakfast.

•Amazingly the hotel day staff (Basil & Sybil) were happy to let us struggle with our bags to get to reception 7 bags in all (us = 2 ladies over 50 & me male 55) no trolley offered. After check in “we” carried our own bags over 2 different floors for 2 rooms.
•My wife & I got a nice sized room, but realized the aircon did not work. I went down stairs & showed staff (Basil & Sybil) a photo of the temperature in the room. Later that day a maid (Polly) came up took a look but as she spoke no English & then just walked out.
•I went to reception later that afternoon & asked what was going on & was told a technician was on his way. So by 10pm that no one had turning up so we slept in a room that was showing 26.5C on the air con.
•Next morning they said it would be sorted that day while we were out or I will be moved to another room. I said “I really don't want to move rooms so please can you have it fixed”. We checked with day staff & again told that technician would fix it later on that day. I told staff that was fine but I did not want another night in that oven. Later that afternoon we checked with day staff again & we were told aircon unit would be STILL be fixed that day between 6pm – 9pm as technician was busy.
•So long story short, day staff Basil & Sybil went home, night staff (Manuel) & day staff never communicated that aircon would not be fixed that night so at 9pm I had enough & then went down to reception to complained again! Night staff Manuel did not believe me even after showing a photo of room controller & asked me to "watch front desk" (I work at the hotel now) while he checked the room for himself. He said he knew nothing about this fault in this room. Finally, got another room around 9.30pm & then I had to drag 6 bags/cases to a very small lift designed for 2 people because the main lift was broken which took 3 runs between 2 floors, because the 1 night staff Manuel could now not leave his station on the front desk. My wife & friend had gone out (to Moulin Rough) I chose to wait for the tech. because I had been previously & I was still very tired. I paid in advance for my River Dinning Cruise, Eiffel tower excursion & then Moulin Rough show which I missed out on.
•Did I mention I hurt my lower back moving cases on my own & spent over €70 on a back strap & a medical rub/cream. Just to really upset us the new room is about 1/2 the size with no bath like the first room (booked superior room but downsized) which would now be great for my bad back & with all our luggage we could barely move in the room. Amazing how photos can be deceiving!
•Once my wife got back I had already moved rooms & the clever night staff Manuel forgot to tell my wife that I had been given another room. So my wife was up & down in the elevators at 2am looking for me & my new room. Did I mention Manuel told her the room number but failed to give her a key at 2am, so I had to get out of bed to let her in.
Sorry, Best Western I never will trust you again, I am platinum freq. flyer & have travelled to 26 Countries & never experienced this sort of poor service. I have filed for one nights cost to be refunded & the cost of the back stuff. Best Western Alexandre DUFEU | Chargé des Relations Clients & Hôtels (aka The Major) as a joke I’m sure offered me a €50 Best Western travel card voucher so I could experience the same service with Best Western in other parts of the World & look after the front desk (should get a staff discount at this rate) & move my own cases. I wrote back & was greeted with a €70 travel voucher instead of €50, again I have declined this as I want x1 night refunded back to my credit card & the cost of the back strap. I think this is fair as the room was advertised as having air-conditioned so I want my money back.
I hope others will heed my warnings!! I have photos of the size of the rooms, aircon temp & receipt of back strap/rubs as proof. Good Luck if you chance your luck in “Faulty Towers Gaye Paree”

Nice clean hotel very close to Farmers market and tourist area. Felt very safe and easy to navigate the area with the metro close by

Very nice hotel. Walked in off the street after cancelled flights and the staff was very kind and helpful. Let us leave our backpacks in a side room while we went sightseeing. Very clean rooms. Good breakfast. Reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

If I can give this a negative star I would After only a 4 day stay (mind you I was supposed to be a 10 day) I was bit by bed bugs! I was horrible a nightmare. I would not recommend anyone going there when I told the front desk they just asked if I wanted a change of sheets it was unbelievable. They don't clean the rooms it's horrible
