You can't get more Parisian than biting into a croissant or a butter-and-jam 'tartine' as you see the first rays of dawn breaking over the Opéra. The view in the upstairs area is gorgeous, and there's a lot more room than on the ground floor. The pastries (albeit not as fresh as from a boulangerie) and breakfasts are quite decent.
It's also a good place to grab a quick coffee or hot beverage. The café au lait is OK, but the hot chocolate is too sweet and artificial.
The lunch options - salads, sandwiches and pizza - are great for a quick meal. Try the menu offer where you get a salad or sandwich, dessert, drink and coffee or tea for less than 10 euros.
However, I don't appreciate that the personnel paid no heed when about a dozen (yes, that many) bees were hovering over the pastries on a very hot day. They were attracted by the dripping granita machine, but it makes me concerned.
As for the new (très practical) loyalty card, this is only one of two locations that accept it so far.

It's really nice place to have a quick breakfast. The shop has lively atmosphere. Foreigner order the food is not difficult (sometimes foreigner face with difficulty to order the food in Paris).

Incredible food. The pretzel sandwiches are amazing. The hot chocolates are great and the prices are fair. Definitely worth a visit when in Paris

Their bakery section is not covered and the doors were left open so BEES got into the food and sat on top of the baked goods. Actual swarms of bees and most customers did not notice, so the employees served them food that had previously been covered in 5 or so bees. The employees clearly knew the bees were on the food so I am guessing this is a common occurrence. Plain and simple check your food here or buy something covered. Really disgusting. I have pictures but I dont know if I can post them on this review.
