Beautiful chateau with nice grounds. Amazing rooms, great bed, fantastic breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay at again.

Our suite was beautiful and spacious, not to mention spotless. Our breakfast consisted of fruit, yogurt, juices, tea, croissants and breads and if we wanted, fresh eggs cooked to order from the hen house on property. The dining room is stately yet warm and the feeling of staying in the Chateau is difficult to describe. The grounds are beautiful and majestic - definitely take time to walk them and imagine the history and stories that are easy to associate.

Very nice location, excellent services, decoration on classic style, all under the surveys of the owner.

We look forward to returning to Chateau Lamothe and hope others will enjoy their stay as much as we did.

As we drove up the driveway to the Chateau, it was easy to imagine stepping back in time to a period long ago of Kings, Queens and knights. As the Chateau came into view, this former hunting lodge was more like a castle with a beautiful moat and swans. It is a stately grand old lady that has been carefully restored to a level of beauty that is quite simply amazing.

I have travelled to many places all over the world, but this one more than impressed. You find yourself entering a fairy tale as soon as you drive up the huge driveway towards the chateau with its own moat. The rooms are massive and beautifully decorated while perfectly cleaned. The owners are more than welcoming and go out of their way to accommodate any visitor. The breakfast is sublime, all home made pastries jams etc. Our two young kids loved is as well, there is a secure gated garden in front of the chateau if you d like them to play about and the pool is excellent for a bit of a splash. The chateau is so close by Bordeaux city centre and airport but you feel like you're in a complete different part of the world .. heaven!

World class. A true experience.

Carla, our hostess, immediately upon a warm welcome, made us feel like family rather than paying guests. She attended to our every needs making reservations for restaurants and wineries for tours. She even found time to have dinner and wine with us on the terrace for a wonderfully relaxing evening. We have invited her to our home in Florida and hope that at some point she will travel to the states to stay with us. Can't say we have ever invited someone like that before and speaks volumes as to how we feel about her.
