I paid in advance for a Merc E class [or similar] and after much waiting around was told there was nothing available other than an Opel Insignia.
I was assured that a suitable car would be made available at my next stop [Poitiers] - nothing happened - they had not even made a phone call. Next I was assured that a suitable car would be available in Bergerac. More hollow promises. The manager at Bergerac personally assured me a car would available the following day. Did not happen.
I finally got a rebate 1 month later but now CDG is attempting to stiff me with another charge of 26 euros., For what I do not know.
This mob are to avoided at all costs - they will rip you off.
I wrote a letter to the CEO [recorded delivery] explaining and complaining. The letter was signed for at Enterprise but guess what, no reply. Even the CEO doesn't give a toss.
I have scored them 1 out of 5, simply because zero is not available.
If you read other reviews you can see that more zeros would have been recorded if available.
AVOID.

I rented a car from September 10th to September 19th in Paris. It´s October 3rd, and I have not received the deposit they were supposed to return to my credit card once I return the car. Also, they don´t answer my email.

I visited France for my sixth time in 2014 and rented a car from Budget. Excellent service and after returning my car after one full week, they were professional and kind and I had no problems thereafter. By the way, I always buy the extra vehicle insurance for a number of reasons. If something happens, Budget will take over the problem and no costs are out of my pocket. If I don’t buy the extra insurance, I will have to pay the bill and submit the invoice to my credit card / personal vehicle insurance which in turn, they MAY NOT pay off the total bill but only a portion. Also, my personal vehicle insurance will be assessed and increase because nothing in life is free. No thanks. Paying the small extra insurance cost is a no brainer and worry free, especially in a foreign country. I work for DoD and I cannot afford to have my career or security clearance harmed because I did not plan for the extra cost. I am heading back to Paris next week and will get another rental from Budget.

Everything seemed fine with Enterprise. I rented the car for 5 days and had no problems. I returned the car and it was inspected without issue. The manager refunded me my deposit and all SEEMED fine. TWO MONTHS later, I get a letter saying I owed $1,600 dollars in repairs due to damage on two doors. I DID NOTHING TO THE DOORS. I did NOTHING to this car. They provided no evidence other than the bill. And now that I am back in the states, they will not return my calls or contact me in anyway. I've filed with my credit card just to get this situation handled and my credit card company needs evidence and documents, which Enterprise will not send. It is an absolute scam. Do not rent from Enterprise/Alamo. I've researched it and found many similar stories posted online... they are running a scratch and dent scam, all over the world. Considering they seem like a reputable company, it's very clear that they will still rip you off.

When I got to the counter, they told me they had no cars available and my reservation wasn't prepaid, therefore they could not guarantee a car. After trying to rent unsuccessfully with all other car rental companies in Charles de Gaulle airport (Paris) we went back back to them and said they would have to either give us a car or pay our expenses with a cancelled trip. There were also other people in the same situation only with this company on the day. After almost 3 hours, they managed to find us a car which a bit dirty. However, if we didn't have insisted we would have no car and our trip would be ruined.

Wow! We had a great experience here!! When we got the car it was ready and as promised. The attendant showed us things cheerfully and set the controls and map system to English without us even thinking to ask. On the return the check-in was quick and super friendly!!

The staff were very professional and friendly. I did have a scratch on my bumper (we drove over 5,500km in Europe) and they were great in helping understand the process and giving me all the necessary details needed to follow up.

The location for Terminal 1 is perfect if you're flying out of that terminal. I was a little worried about being able to find the car rental return location coming into Charles De Gaulle airport but it is clearly signposted in both French and English. When entering the terminal return area you do need to take a parking ticket which I found odd. However you use the ticket to get into the car rental area and don't have to pay for it.

I have rented from car companies across Europe and the United States and will never again rent from Enterprise. The person inspecting the car when I returned the vehicle damaged the car by pulling out the rear quarter panel. Enterprise charged me nearly $500 to replace two clips. I have repeatedly tried to contact these people, including the French and US corporate offices by phone and countless emails. After more than 7 months, I have yet to even have someone return my calls or email. There are plenty of reputable car companies to rent from at Charles de Gaulle. Enterprise is NOT one of them.

Update: 11/19/2017 - I just received my first communication from them since June. They still haven't sent me any documentation but have passed my complaint onto another manager. Seems I can't get them to either help me or let it go. Such stupid $1600 monkey on my back. Unless you want to deal with theses folks for what could be years, don't rent from them.

I've rented a car with their company on February and I've forgotten to take it out from the port-baggage 4 paintings that I've bought from Louvre Museum. As soon as I've given back the keys, they don't speak English and they tell they are not responsible if I've forgotten something, and that they can not open the car again! In another words, they've stollen my paints!!!!! 5 calls and nothing... After 2 days, Trying to contact afterwards by telephone, I'm still waiting their manager to call me back. I'll issue their company for sure! This is a crime!

The rental experience was fine. They even gave me a larger car then expected. I waived the insurance as my credit card provides rental car coverage. The trip went beautifully with NO damage or incident of any kind. I returned the car and it was inspected without issue. The manager refunded me my deposit and all SEEMED fine. TWO MONTHS later, I get a letter saying I owed $1,600 dollars in repairs to the car. They provided no evidence other than the bill. I did NOTHING to this car. And now that I am back in the states, they will not return my calls or contact me in anyway. It is an absolute scam. Do not rent from Enterprise/Alamo. Rented a car twice at enterprise and I have to say my experience was the best I may have had worldwide. The young team is dynamic smiling and super polite.
The scratch policy of enterprise is unique. They don't charge for tiny scratch or mark and they have a special ruler to decide if they do charge or not.
I find their car to be better equipped than Thrifty.
I really have nothing negative to say... Maybe they could answer the phone a bit more often.
