Awful! For the last 2 months I am chasing the Accident Damage Report from Hertz in order to settle my insurance claim. My emails and phone call requests are ignored. Hertz was fast (the next day!) to charge my credit card for a damage, but cannot provide me with a signed damage report.

If you go to Bordeaux for 2 days, you don't want to spend them stuck in the middle of nowhere, dealing with numerous calls to Hertz and their so-called assistance, do you? On top just for a deflated tire! Totally inefficient and unprofessional. Never again this company.

I arrived Bordeaux with my own issues/problems, Tapha took over and straightened everything out. I can't say enough about what this man did and how it changed what could have been a bad experience into an amazing one, 5 STAR. I do a lot of business with Bordeaux Hertz rental agency and I look forward each time to seeing Tapha and and can say he is truly an asset and a credit to their team at the airport...

Finally they send somebody who informs us that he can take the car with and try to fix it BUT he can not bring it back! (we where 5km away of their garage) We are still in the middle of nowhere and there are no taxis (weekend, all taxis apparently in Bordeaux city)
Later we are informed 'the tire can't be fixed'...and there is no spare tire...we can't go anywhere, not even to the hotel...some local fortunately drove us there...
We try to reach Hertz at least to understand 'what now'...5h later they inform us somebody is working on our case...after loosing the temper it seems that they could offer a car of a higher category but we would have to pay for the upgrade, SERIOUSLY? Further they would send a taxi for us to pick up the new car in the airport (=2h waisted time), SERIOULY? By the time they called back it was around 18h/19h...we are in the region for less than 2 days, had booked a restaurant for dinner...the whole situation/'solution' made the trip to Bordeaux useless...
They exceptionally (after lots of discussions) didn't charge anything for the car but, sorry...personally, I find the whole situation and how they managed it totally unprofessional...not to mention all the nerves and waisted time. Never ever again Hertz.

This is what happened:
We booked a car with full casco for 2 days
After 12h the display tells us there is a pressure problem with one tire...for no reason (the car was in a parking the whole night).
We stop at a gas station and realize (1) it's not just a little problem one solves by inflating the tire; (2) you are in the middle of nowhere and it's not safe to drive the car anywhere.

Got lured into an upgrade on my insurance. didn't ask for it, wasn't notified and the employee of Hertz said there were no extra charges when i put my signature down. Total scam. Ridiculous after sales service where there's no human interest at all. Avoid at all costs

No staff to accept vehicle returns (literally no staff at all until after 8:30am).

We called Hertz assistance which told us to bring back the car...the fact that it might be unsafe is not their problem...seriously, this is what we were told!

DO NOT USE Hertz Bordeaux airport. Absolutely disgusted by the service I have received. After returning the car, I unfortunately left my birthday gift on the back seat and when I called 2 hours later for them to retrieve the gift no one would answer and when someone finally did answer my 10 calls later, The man on the phone could not be bothered too check and said that he would look the next day. He never called me back. So I called again and spoke to several more people who were very unhelpful and spoke to me with no respect. I felt that they had my present and weren't in any rush to give it back so kept saying to call back. After calling three days in a row and no one helping me. I decided to ask my French colleague to call up to explain better than I could in French. She spoke to Murielle who assured her that she would check with the manager to help us with the issue. No- one got back to us. This is technically theft. The gift was on the back seat and a member of staff now has it. I am just so upset about this. I would never recommend anyone to hire from them. Criminals, dishonest and rude. My boyfriend worked hard to save for the gift and I did not even get to take from the box before someone decided to keep it for themselves. What a joke of a company. They should be embarrassed and ashamed.
