We were here while cycling along the Canal du Midi. The room in the dependance at the other side of the road was OK with some noise from passing trains; not excellent and so was staff. Price was on the high end of acceptable. It is not a romantic place to stay but well located close to the station and canal.

I posted a previous comment but the manager called to our door complaining at 10.15 pm asking me to delete it. Well... there are few things that people should know. The entrance bell never stops during the day and taking a rest during the afternoon was impossible because the sound was VERY ANNOYING. the lady should know that in spanish, "baño" includes a shower and a toilet. NOT A SHOWER IN THE ROOM AND A TOILET IN THE CORRIDOR. the soap in the toilet was totally water and there was not one in the shower. I understand about not to cook in the room but they don't allow to eat in the room. (what happen if you are hungry at 11 pm?). Astoria "hotel" has a check out at 10 am. the earliest I have seen. The TV was so far from the bed and tiny that was impossible to recognise the people playing soccer. the manager doesn't know how to act when receive negative comments. and yes, the TOILET was so small that was a miracle to be capable to close the door. And by first time in my life I received a message from booking asking me why didn't I stayed the nights at the "hotel"... very weird. So the experience was awful specially for the bell.

Very nice receptionists. Here is luggage left service and costs 2€ for the whole day!

We were welcome to put our bicycles in the garage at no extra cost.

Clean and basic rooms. Inside the room there is a shower but the restroom is in the corridor.
The hotel isn't in the city center, is not far way to the main street but the citadel is in the opposite side. Just 20 minutes walking, it is a small town.

I visited in August 2016 and the service was very good. The area was relatively quiet and the breakfast was very good for the price. The rooms were cute and minimalist which suits my style just fine. Not a long walk from Carcassonne Castle and overall a good value. Would definitely recommend.

Simple place, nice and clean. Close to everything and 20 mins from the medieval city.
