In January, I booked and paid for a booking at this hotel for 15-18 September, as part of a visiting cricket team on tour from the UK. Owing to family illness I am now unable to join the tour and since 12 September I have sent several emails, in French and English, asking them to cancel my booking and requesting a refund of my 347 Euros. All my emails have been recorded as received, one has been read and one not read, but I have had no response or acknowledgement. I am very disappointed and feel rather cheated.

The Avalon is really close to the train station with access to international and local trains, metro, RER and bus lines. Easy to take RER B to airport (CDG or Orly). Comfy bed, great shower, loved the ability to open the windows for fresh air (and with closed windows, little to no street noise). Great staff, spoke English. Computer and printer a plus. Breakfast room is a lounge during the rest of the day. There are vending machines there or lots of places for food in the neighbourhood.

I have never stayed at such an awful hotel. Surely staff, the room was the size of a closet. Fixtures in room eere on disrepair. No a/c. Over priced for what you get. We would have had more luxury at Motel 6.

I'd stay here again but would not recommend to people who have high expectations of hotels or dislike crowded urban streets.

You'll save money staying here as this area is a bit outside the key sites and you'll need to change metro trains to get to M1 for the big tourist draws (Louvre, etc), but fabulous for getting to/from the CDG airport in 30-45 minutes.

The front door is on a busy street, and the front desk will buzz you in. The streets surrounding the busy street are much less trafficked and worth exploring. Check Yelp for restaurant recommendations while on free wi-fi in the hotel.

This was a great find. Very quaint, very helpful staff. Close to the Nord station made getting around Paris very easy. We even wanted to go to Normandy for the weekend and they did not charge us for the two nights gone and stored luggage we didn't want to take and then had a room again when we came back. Good room rates for all these conveniences.

There can be noise from next door room and some street noise which could disturb light sleepers.

Small room just large enough for a bed. Bathroom the size of a cruise ships. Airbnb for same price for us 3x the space.

Small but cozy rooms. Great location.

As with any train station, exercise caution at Gare du Nord for pickpocketers. I had no trouble but am passing this on in case you should arrive here and are less experienced.

In a walking diatance to Gare du Nord. Sometimes they give you good price. Ok breakfast. Very clean rooms. And very tight soundproof windows. Four stars only because they are farther from Gare du Nord than other hotels.
할인시에는 가성비 좋습니다. 강추. 역전 호텔보다 거리가 좀 있다는 불편한 점 말고는 단점 없습니다. 아침은 그냥 그렇지만 파리시내에서 가격 대비 괜찮다고 봅니다.

Great Hotel very near Gare du Nord train station. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are small but comfortable. All major sites are easily accessible as many bus routes and Metro stops are close by. Christopher on the reception is an excellent ambassador for this Hotel. Always ready to oblige. They will do their best to ensure a pleasant stay. English is fluently spoken.

Great stay with family. Comfortable rooms and decent bathroom. Bit expensive for the services, but no complaints as worth all the money. Proximity to everything and good food options. Off all the visits to Paris, most enjoyable one, also due to stay at Avalon!
