I picked this hotel on a whim on my 3rd trip to Paris and it exceeded my expectations! As a budget traveller, i always aim for something in a beautiful/convenient location and usually settle for a bit of shabiness. I ended up in a nice clean room on the top floor (elevator too!!) AND my room had 2 sets of french doors opening up to little balconies! The view was amazing, i bought wine from the store and enjoyed it right there overlooking rue monge. I could even see notre dame in the distance. I felt very lucky to have found this gem ❤

Excellent location, food, bars, restaurants outside the hotel. Not very touristy so you feel like a local. Metro stops at both corners. Friendly staff. Great breakfast included as well.

Wonderful staff and nice breakfast. Just a short walk to Contrescarpe plaza with lively, late nightlife. About a mile to Notre Dame. Metro right across the street, although we walked most everywhere. Shower is way too small--ask for room with tub/shower. Good air-conditioning.

Staff is pleasant and had toothbrushes for us. Rooms are tiny and first floors was noisy. But 5th floor was very good. Breakfast was normal, cofee and little bit of hot food.

A thoroughly satisfying experience based on the professional and kind staff who were exhaustive and genuine in all their duties. The hotel was compact yet perfectly satisfactory. It's central location and ready access to many of Paris' great landmarks made it even more fulfilling. The central location combined with its proximity to the Latin Quartet hotspots which saw a raft of restaurents, both good and awful, as well as lovely bars made for a very pleasing Parisine pastime.

The room and lobby are nicely appointed. The front desk personnel were uniformly very friendly and helpful and spoke English (and some Spanish too). Location is very nice: Metro station is less than half-block away, area is relatively quiet and low in tourists yet you can find plenty of restaurants, convenience stores and boulangeries nearby, and Place St Michelle is 10-15 min walking. My only issue was that, out of a four day stay, two days in a row the bathroom was not restock (nor was the room coffee/tea service), so I had to go down to the front desk for shampoo/soap, and one of those days the bathroom was not made at all (no cleaning, towels, etc). Shower was very narrow (suits me fine, but larger people may consider)

The room was clean but a little small. The rooms are nicely decorated. The staff was friendly.
The location is about 5 minutes from the train station. The area is quiet.
